The Vault The Creative Achieving Tool For Tomorrows Creative Director
What is The Vault?
Great question the Vault is a creative achieving tool, a centered base where creatives can log all their references.
Where did this stem from?
Another great question, Since 2024 I’ve noticed that I keep my creative references in my Instagram saved folder, Pinterest, Camera roll, and so on. It felt like I did not have a place to put all my references and some great ideas would be lost due to not knowing where I put them. I’ve been working on a prototype to store all my references. In a Figma File. I soon understood that FIgma would need some adjustments to make this most optimal for me. Thus the Vault was born I have over 3,600 images in this one Figma file and finding my work has become difficult so I made some animations and adjustments that would become a Figma Plugin.
Competitive Analysis?
I have a competitive analysis on the other archiving tools:
Here are my prototypes for the Figma Plugin
Ideally, I would want the project to have a browser extension that saves references to your Figma file and with Machine learning it will organize it with the tags associated with the references as well as rearrange the display for the user examples below:

Why a Figma File?
I am someone who suffers from ADHD I hate the idea of having to scroll a document or having to go through a platform like Pinterest where one needs to scroll and click to see an image. For me I love the idea of having a big board with an XYZ axis it makes me feel more creative and makes me able to see more of what I want to see. I think the other referencing tools aren’t bad but I feel as though I see a gap in the market and want to make the experience better especially for those who have ADHD who want something like this. I’ve spoken to over 30 Creative Directors many of them mentioned that they would love a tool that makes archiving easier a phrase I’ve heard more than anything. In my own journey in the creative world, there are so many things that inspire me from quotes and phrases to videos and posters I want to be able to see it all and streamline these ideas.
I think Pinterest is good for what it is but the main problem on the interface for me is that a lot of the images don’t fit in one scroll. Where it feels like to me that is overwhelming to the users not being to see everything clearly and it feels like its claustrophobic in a sense. There is a lack of clarity in the design.
Another opportunity for improvement is that Pinterest has is that it is covered in advertisements. 10 images on screen and 60% of the images are ads this wouldn’t be a huge deal but by clicking the image it takes the user to another tab. As well as there will be great work on Pinterest but no one credits the artist’s works. I want the credits labeled on the Vault through Machine learning.
